Check the pinmux settings and connections for the rest of the GPMC signals. I would think if there was an electrical issue with using your baseboard that yo would see the issue in u-boot as well.

- If you have it disabled, then it won't happen. Try leaving it enabled and seeting min size to 5.
The other thing that could be done is to use a DCM on the EMIFA clock, which will allow you to deskew any delays in the clock routing.

- Sorry about the -3 vs -2 issue. We will correct that on our next release. However, several designs have been validated and close using -2 speedgrade (you should be able to confirm that with the reference project, I think) using ISE 13....

1) You don't need the OFFSET=OUT spec with our IP. It turns out there is an extra clock in the wait states for read cycles, so you really have 18 ns to get the data to the OMAP, not 8.

- The good news is I think we have found the cause of the issue.
When the 335x boot ROM sees the 4K page size in the NAND, it switches to a 16 bit ECC scheme, hence the data written with an 8 bit scheme
is invalid.

- Could you provide any details on what your FLASH procedure is and what you are seeing when you try to boot?
What bootmode are you configuring for FLASH boot?
This will allow us to reproduce the problem here.

- Yes, MLO & u-Boot were rebuilt for DDR3 and ran fine on the 3354 w/ DDR3 booting from SD card.

The MLO and u-Boot images must be updated for the 3354 DDR3 configuration. Are they using the correct version of the MLO and u-Boot?
What is the FLASH procedure [edit] being used?

- Customer states that they are having difficulty flashing MLO and U-Boot into the 3354-GX-X38 module. No issues encountered when flashing MLO and U-Boot in the 3359-GX-226 module.

- I don't think you will need to rebuild DSPLINK or CMEM.
You should be able to take the myconfig and copy it to the .config.

- You need SATA_AHCI_PLATFORM set. You will need to rebuild the kernel.

You can print the kernel config file by running:

You can then search the output:

- I have tried the same SATA drive on a second MityDSP board as well as an older SATA drive. There are no "ata" messages in the boot log.
