Hi Jon,
I did try the suggestions made, but I wasn't able to make it any further on the issue. We need to evaluate if u-boot is using the correct jump address to boot the kernel, since we never see any kernel output on the serial line... Timothy Entinger

So I didn't respond right away as you are using verilog and I am more of a VHDL guy, but there is an open drain primitive called OPNDRN.
