HSMC Connector Information¶

The MitySOM-5CSx Family Development Board (80-000578) features a "full" HSMC interface and a "partial" HSMC interface. These connectors will allow the use of third-part or custom HSMC compatible expansion boards.

Detailed information about the HSMC specification can be found from Altera (Altera HSMC Specification PDF).

You should also reference the MitySOM-5CSx baseboard datasheet and our schematics for the baseboard as well to confirm pin-mappings for both interfaces on our development board.

Connector used on Development Board (80-000578)¶

The connector that is installed on our development boards is a ASP-122953-01 from Samtec (ASP-122953-01 Datasheet), or equivalent.

Mezzanine card mating connector options¶

The recommend mating connector from Samtec is a ASP-122952-01 which is a modified QTH series connector.

Extensions/Flex Cable options¶

The HDR-131992-02-HQDP cable from Samtec (Datasheet) is an extension cable that is available in varying lengths. This cable provides both of the connectors mentioned above on a flexible ribbon cable. Please contact Samtec for pricing and availability.
