Shock and vibration testing of SO-DIMM style connectors:

http://support.criticallink.com/redmine/projects/mitycpu/wiki/Shock_and_Vibration_Information

Testing meant to replicate the vibration levels and duration of the environments the 335x SoM is expected to experience in order to properly operate and survive has been performed as follows:

The test is taken from Mil-Std 810 Rev. G - METHOD 514.6 ANNEX E, this is the General Minimum Integrity test and is intended for any vibration test where a tailored vibration profile cannot be applied. The vibration profile found in METHOD 514.6 ANNEX E, requires a random waveform (white noise) with an acceleration spectral density of .04 g^2/Hz from 20Hz to 2000Hz to drive the vibration table. The test will be performed for one hour along each of the orthogonal axes for a total of three hours of total testing. The test items should remain operational throughout the duration of the test to properly simulate real world conditions. The three axes should be tested successively.

Test Case 1 (Pass):

The test ran for a total of three hours, one hour along each axis, at a level of approximately 6.3 G centered at 1kHz to try and construct a PSD of .04 G^2/Hz.

Devkit Used
S/N 120465

Module Used
3352-HX-X35-RC (S/N 14000562)

The module was powered on and running a "stress test script" during the test to verify no failures occurred. No issues were detected during the test and appeared to operate properly for the duration of the vibration test and subsequent followup bench-top testing.

Test Case 2 (Pass):

The test ran for a total of three hours, one hour along each axis, at a level of approximately 6.3 G centered at 1kHz to try and construct a PSD of .04 G^2/Hz.

Devkit Used
S/N 120465

Module Used
3352-HX-X38-RC (S/N 14000560)

The module was powered on and running a "stress test script" during the test to verify no failures occurred. No issues were detected during the test and appeared to operate properly for the duration of the vibration test and subsequent followup bench-top testing.
