MitySOM-A5E Standard¶

A Step model as well as an Altium Integrated Library are included below for use with MitySOM-A5E Standard Carrier Card designs. The Integrated library package includes 4 different schematic symbols:

1. one presents the connector symbol for J1 as a 4 parts for each SEAM connector in pin order (A1-A50, B1-B50, etc.).
2. one presents the connector symbol for J1 as 9 parts for the SEAM connector, with the pins organized into functional blocks (e.g., power and ground connections, transceiver blocks, IO banks, etc.).
3. one presents the connector symbol for J2 as a 4 parts for each SEAM connector in pin order (A1-A50, B1-B50, etc.).
4. one presents the connector symbol for J2 as 7 parts for the SEAM connector, with the pins organized into functional blocks (e.g., power and ground connections, transceiver blocks, IO banks, etc.).

The footprints for the J1 symbol includes the recommended Samtec connector land pattern, the SOM board outline, a location reference for the center location of J2, and location references for both the MitySOM-A5E Standard mounting hole locations (outer 4 locations) and the MitySOM-A5E Mini mounting hole locations (center 2 locations, bottom 2 locations).
The footprint for the J2 symbol does not include the additional reference locations; it only includes the PCB land pattern of the Samtec connector.

MitySOM-A5E Mini¶

A second symbol presents the symbol as 9 parts for the SEAM connector, with the pins organized into functional blocks (e.g., power and ground connections, transceiver blocks, IO banks, etc.). The footprints for the J1 symbol includes the recommended Samtec connector land pattern, the SOM board outline and location references for both the MitySOM-A5E Mini Standard mounting hole locations.
